Pet Radiology & X-Rays

X-rays (radiographs) are performed on a daily basis and are an integral part of the diagnosis process. We are able to perform routine x-rays of dogs and cats. Contrast studies of the urinary and intestinal tract are performed as needed.  We have a Digital Radiology Machine.  This means less radiation exposure for the pet and our medical team.  Digital Radiographs allow for much higher detail and contrast that with non-digital equipment.  This allows for better diagnostics.  We utilize a Telemedicine Radiology Consultation Service so that all of our images are reviewed by Board Certified Veterinary Radiologist, a specialist in reading X-ray images.

Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to look at the body structures (heart, organs, eyes, joints, etc).  This is a non-invasive means of looking at the function of an body structure as well as architecture.
