Veterinary Internal Medicine in Tampa, FL
Board-Certified Internal Medicine Expertise Through Mobile Specialty Diagnostics
Cross Creek Animal Medical Centre works with Dr. Kelli Weaver, a board-certified small animal internal medicine specialist and founder of Gulfstream Veterinary Specialty Services.
Dr. Weaver comes to Cross Creek on scheduled dates to perform advanced diagnostic procedures, including abdominal and other ultrasound examinations, echocardiography, endoscopy, diagnostic sampling procedures, and other advanced internal medicine services.
Dr. Weaver does not provide stand-alone internal medicine appointments at Cross Creek. Patients must first be examined by a Cross Creek veterinarian, who will determine whether Dr. Weaver’s services are appropriate and coordinate the procedure.
Dr. Weaver’s diagnostic findings and specialist recommendations are then integrated into the patient’s medical care by the Cross Creek veterinary team.

What Is Veterinary Internal Medicine at Cross Creek?
Veterinary internal medicine is a specialty focused on diseases affecting a pet’s internal organs and systems (gastrointestinal, endocrine, immune system, liver, kidneys, lungs, etc.). Our veterinarians apply a methodical, evidence-based approach to evaluate and manage conditions that may elude routine exams.
We use state-of-the-art diagnostics — including digital imaging, ultrasound, endoscopy, and in-house lab testing — to detect anomalies early and tailor treatment to each pet’s unique health profile.
When Your Pet May Need Advanced Internal Medicine Diagnostics
If symptoms persist or become more complex, start with an exam with one of our Cross Creek veterinarians, who will decide whether advanced diagnostics with Dr. Weaver are appropriate and coordinate the procedure.
